Dear Friend,

Hello, I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Darren Bailey and I am the Senator for the 55^th District of Illinois. Before this office, I served as the State Representative for the 109^th District.

I have spent my entire life farming in and around Clay County, raising corn, soybeans, and wheat, and we have been blessed to be able to expand the family business into excavating and trucking. I have four amazing children and 10 wonderful grandchildren.

I want you to know that I understand the challenges facing the families, workers, and businesses of the 55^th Senate District and the state of Illinois, and that is who I answer to. I will stand up to make sure that your government is efficient, honest, and accountable to you.
